About Golden Hill Turquoise

Golden Hill turquoise was first introduced to the U.S. around 2014. Mined in Kazakhstan, and only in the winter months, Golden Hill has become sought after and considered rare. It is a natural and chemically pure turquoise with colors that range from light blue to deep lavender. The matrix is a stunning complement with shades of brown, rust, and red. Most of our Golden Hill cabochons are freeform to help preserve as much of the rough material as possible. Working with Golden Hill is a genuine pleasure as the colors in the material are revealed with each step in the cabbing process. Golden Hill is a great example of why turquoise is so captivating.
