I love soldering because it’s one of the moments in jewelry making where separate pieces suddenly become one. There’s something satisfying about controlling the flame, watching the metal heat up, and seeing the solder flow exactly where I want it. Since I have a bench-jewelry background, it may also be the combination of skill, precision, and hands-on craftsmanship that feels rewarding. Soldering requires focus, but once you’re comfortable with it, it can feel almost meditative.
